I give & bequeath to my beloved wife Martha Thorpe during her natural life my land and plantation lying between re-rigs in the road also by negro man Dick & three of the first choice of my stock of cattle four of the first choice of my stock of sheep one bay mare ones feather bed and furniture one spinning wheel & cards 20 barrels of corn for the ensuing year twelve head of hogs of any size he chooses & one pot & after her death, I desire that the negro the cattle except two the sheep the wheel & cards the mare the stock of hogs the bed & furniture, & the pot be sold & the money equally divided between my four children Namely Timothy Thorpe Hardy Thorpe Wille Thorpe & Olive Thorpe to them & their hheirs forever.
